Smartwatches and fitness trackers are getting more and more intelligent – they can count your steps, track your heart rate and work out how many calories you burn during an exercise.
But what smartwatch or fitness tracker should you buy?
There are many options available and at a range of prices. Some things you will want to consider are:

- Do I need a waterproof device?
- Do I want a colour screen and how large?
- What is my budget?

The best overall fitness tracker is the Fitbit Charge 3. It boasts some great features for all-day fitness, heart rate and step tracking, a great app and notifications from your compatible smartphone.
The best fitness smartwatch for Android users is the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro. It is a great combination of smartwatch and fitness tracker, with a sleek, lightweight screen, built-in GPS, water-resistant, the ability to store and stream music and display notifications from your smartphone, which you can respond to from the watch itself.
The best fitness smartwatch for Apple: If, like me, you are an iPhone user, you will probably be better suited to the Apple Watch.
